KUALA SELANGOR - Two areas in Puncak Alam here were hit by flash floods following heavy rain at around 8 p.m today.

Two areas were inundated, namely Jalan Persiaran Puncak Alam 6 near a car service center and the route from the Puncak Alam Mosque to Phase 3, in front of a traffic light, also experienced flooding.

A Facebook user, Siti Khadijah, uploaded a video on Facebook about the flood situation on Jalan Persiaran Puncak Alam 6.

"All vehicles have to make a U-turn," she said in a Facebook video post today.

In the one-minute and 26-second video, several vehicles, including heavy ones, were seen making U-turns due to the flooding on the road.

Facebook user Akhrimnizar Shamsudin said several vehicles were stranded as they couldn't pass through the floodwaters in the two affected lanes.

"Several cars and motorcycles have broken down due to the flood," he said in the comments section of the video.

Meanwhile, Sinar is trying to obtain further information from the authorities regarding the flash flood incident.
