KOTA BHARU - Kota Lama Assemblyman Dr Hafidzah Mustakim has taken legal action against Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud, due to his failure to apologise for labeling her and Galas Assemblyman Mohd Syahbuddin Hasyim as opponents of Islam.

This move comes after a seven-day period lapsed without an apology from Mohd Nassuruddin.

"I have submitted the lawsuit to her legal representatives for further action.

"Now we wait," she said in a press conference today.

She expressed her commitment to safeguarding her own reputation and resisting any false titles being imposed upon her.

"The public should be aware that we hold certain principles, and with that spirit, we can confidently fulfill our roles in the state assembly.

"I aim to maintain a positive working relationship, and all parties should contribute to the well-being of the public," Dr Hafidzah added.

Dr Hafidzah also stressed that the Galas Assemblyman is well aware of the opposition's responsibilities despite winning two seats in the previous state election.
