Razeef questions Hadi's health excuses amidst meeting with Dr Mahathir
AISYAH BASARUDDINSHAH ALAM - Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) deputy information chief Razeef Rakimin questions the actions of Pas president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang, who was deemed to be lying to avoid police investigations.
He said he was informed that the police had delayed the appointment to record a statement from the Marang MP.
Razeef said the Inspector-General of Police, Tan Sri Razarudin Husain, told the police that they were supposed to take Hadi’s statement on Saturday, but it was delayed due to health complications.
"On Saturday evening, Hadi, four Menteri Besar from Pas, as well as the secretary-general, visited Dr Mahathir's residence.
"Was Hadi lying to the police to avoid investigations? Hadi’s actions were clearly attempts to fool the authorities.
"How long will Hadi keep up with the lies to avoid investigations by the police? It was as if he would die the following day," he said in a statement on Sunday.
Hadi previously gave a statement questioning the authorization of the Pardons Board during a ceramah held in conjunction with Simpang Jeram.
Razeef hoped the police would no longer be deceived by Hadi’s outdated tactics to avoid being investigated because his speech clearly disputed the decision made by the Conference of Rulers and was seen as opposing the royal institution.
