Altimet ready to donate white board to PN assemblyman
SHAH ALAM - Lembah Jaya Assemblyman Syed Ahmad Syed Abdul Rahman, also known as Altimet is ready to contribute a white board to the Infaq Fund of the Ijok Community Service Center (PKM).
Through a post on Twitter, Altimet said, he will use the song royalties he has earned for the purchase.
"I will sponsor the whiteboard Insya-allah (god willing). The election is over so let's put service to the people first.
"Recently there has been a little royalty coming in, we can share the sustenance together," he tweeted on Friday.
Earlier it was reported that Ijok assemblyman Jefri Mejan from Perikatan Nasional (PN) was asking for donations for office equipment under the Infaq Fund of the Ijok Community Service Center (PKM).
Among the equipment that was listed in the poster asking for donations were computer sets, printers, office furniture, refrigerators, PKM signs, white boards, sofa sets and internet.
The poster had a Bank Islam account number, 12168010000252 for those who wish to channel financial donations.
In another tweet, Altimet also called on the people to think positively and help according to their abilities.
"For those who are interested in helping but have doubts, they can donate goods. Welcome to husnuzon (positive thoughts)." he had tweeted
A comment on the Twitter thread suggested that he share his sustenance with Pakatan Harapan (PH) assemblymen only because he does not want to be misinterpreted by outside parties.
Meanwhile, former Jeram assemblyman Mohd Shaid Rosli also responded to the donation issue involving opposition assemblymen in Selangor.
He said, opposition assemblymen were facing difficulties related to allocations and expenses following the state government's appointment of a state assembly coordinator to administer financial allocations.
"My allocation was cut by 50 percent after becoming an opposition assemblyman and all official matters did not involve me, for example, district meetings, urban planning and expenditure allocations for the Malaysian Road Records Information System (Marris).
"I had to work hard by meeting officials to ask for help to solve residents' problems. Some officials also were pressured for helping me," he said through a post on Facebook.
Shaid said that he had to pawn what was necessary to give to the needy without giving an excuse that he was an opposition assemblyman.
He also included the lease deed in his post, when he used to serve as an assemblyman, of which he said he had to work hard to redeem and which he claims to be over RM500,000.
