Making Quran a life compass attracts Wardah & Kahf to sponsor Malaysia #QuranHour

SHAH ALAM - Efforts to invite people to recite the Quran, making it a daily routine and a compass for Muslims in life attracted Wardah & Kahf to become one of the sponsors for the Malaysia #QuranHour.

Its marketing development and public relations manager Syukrina Mohtar, 32, said the company sponsored the programme as both brands shared similar values as well as wanting to support efforts to create a positive impact for the development of the society in this country.

"Paragon through the Wardah & Kahf believes that we share the same values as Warisan Ummah Ikhlas Foundation (WUIF).

"Therefore, we want to support it and make the Quran a life compass for Muslims in finding the meaning of life," she told Sinar Harian today.

Malaysia #QuranHour took place on Aug 30 at the Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin mosque with the theme of 'Malaysia Berakhlak Mulia: Pemuda Merdeka, Pemimpin Abrar' (A Virtuous Malaysia: Liberated Youth, Pious Leader).

The programme is in line with the government's wish to encourage the society to be closer to the Quran.

Present at the programme were WUIF founder Datuk Hussamuddin Yaacub, Islamic Tourism Centre director-general Nizran Noordin, Ir Muhammad Hasanuddin Thoyleb MM representing Indonesia #QuranHour organiser and the management of media synergy partners.

Also present were Datin Nik Roslini Raja Ismail, the wife of Religious Affairs Minister, Youth and Sports Deputy Minister Adam Adli, Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, Bachok MP Syahir Sulaiman, Permatang Pasir assemblyman Muhammad Faiz Fadzil and Lembah Jaya assemblyman Syed Ahmad Syed Abdul Rahman (Altimet).

Syukrina shared that among other factors that strengthened her decision to agree to becoming Malaysia #QuranHour's sponsor was because as Wardah & Kahf also had a spiritual input slot at work such as monthly religious lectures online.

"We have religious activities and monthly lectures that we do online which have already been set in the calendar for employees in Malaysia and Indonesia.

"Furthermore, Wardah & Kahf also offers sponsored tourism programmes for all employees who have served for seven years or more.

"Through this programme, Muslims will be sent to perform Umrah," she added.
