Security guard pleads guilty to raping daughter

KUANTAN - A security guard was charged at the Sessions Court, here, today, with raping his 14-year-old daughter, five months ago.
The 39-year-old pleaded guilty to the charge.
According to the charge sheet, the man had committed the offence at the living room of a house at about 4.30pm on April 25.
The charge under Section 376(3) of the Penal Code provides an imprisonment of up to 30 years and a minimum of 10 strokes of the rotan upon conviction.
The accused who was unrepresented had indicated that he understood the consequences of his guilty plea.
Judge Datuk Ahmad Zamzani Mohd Zain fixed Sept 13 for the facts of the case and sentencing.
Earlier, deputy public prosecutor Fathin Nadhirah Kasim did not offer bail to the accused as the latter was the victim's biological father.
