Cops looking for heirs of man found dead in Sungai Merchong
PEKAN - Police are looking for the heirs of a man without any identification found dead by a fisherman in Sungai Merching, Nenasi, here on Aug 19.
Pekan district police chief Superintendent Mohd Zaidi Mat Zin said the man was clad in a dark blue Reebok brand long-sleeve T-shirt and a dark colour inner shirt with the words ‘Rav 96’ written on it.
He said the victim wore long black pants with yellow shorts as an inner with a Ferrari logo.
“Checks were done with the village chief and residents in Merchong and Nenasi here, but they did not recognise the victim.
“There were no missing persons reports lodged in the district currently,” he said in a statement today.
Zaidi asked the public whose family member or acquaintance was missing to contact assistant investigator Sergeant Major Othman Mohammad at 012-9886155 to identify and claim the body.
He said the body was currently at the Pekan Hospital forensics unit.
