Final Super Blue Moon rises tonight
FARHANA ABD KADIRSHAH ALAM - The phenomenon of the final Super Blue Moon appears tonight and will return again in 2037.
The public has the opportunity to witness this event at 7pm on Wednesday.
This phenomenon is not related to colour but rather refers to a full moon that is closer to the Earth in its orbit, resulting in a larger and slightly brighter appearance.
This occurrence is the second time it has happened in August, with the previous instance occurring on Aug 1st.
Meanwhile, this matter has received various reactions from netizens on social media regarding the phenomenon.
For Syuhaidah Anne, while watching fireworks in conjunction with Independence Day, the public can also observe the full moon event.
"Tonight, I want to watch fireworks. While I'm out, I can also see the moon," she wrote.
Based on Facebook user Azali Azzanova, tonight's view is expected to be more beautiful.
"A beautiful and lovely view tonight with the captivating full moon," he said.
In the meantime, social media user Badrul Bahri said that this event seems to also celebrate Malaysia's 66th National Day.
"Even the moon wants to celebrate independence," he wrote.
