KUANTAN - Three names of candidates have been sent to Pas central leadership for consideration to represent Perikatan Nasional (PN) in Pelangai by-election on Oct 7.

Pahang Pas deputy commissioner Andansura Rabu said that the list received from Bentong division had been submitted to Pas Shura Council last week.

He said the selected candidates meet the required qualifications, are active leaders in Bentong and enjoy support from the community in the area.

"We are waiting and ready to accept the decision from central Pas leadership. Whoever is proposed and nominated, we will accept.

"So whatever it is, we leave it to the party leadership to make a choice and announce the candidate," he told Sinar.

The Beserah assemblyman said that preparations for the poll this time will be coordinated among Perikatan Nasional's (PN) coalition partners.

He is expecting a series of meetings to be held to ensure that everything will run smoothly ahead of the nomination.

The Pelangai by-election is held following the death of its incumbent Datuk Seri Johari Harun.
