PN needs to stop playing with perception, waves in Johor - Mohd Hairi

JOHOR BAHRU - It is not a wave or a perception, but Perikatan Nasional (PN) needs to state the changes it wants to bring in the Pulai parliamentary and Simpang Jeram state by-elections.
Umno deputy Youth chief Mohd Hairi Md Shah said the by-elections were not the time for PN and Pas to experiment with perception on the wave allegedly triggered in the state elections in the six states which will hit Johor.
"Previously, PN election director Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Noor in a statement in Bakri said that the Simpang Jeram by-election will be the gateway to the 'PN wave' in Johor.
"The Kedah Menteri Besar is also trying to play with perception and incite voters in the Simpang Jeram state assembly to experiment to ensure that the PN wave remains.
"It is strange and I’m a bit confused why Sanusi is trying to play with such a perception when he doesn't present what PN is trying to bring to Johor," he said in a Facebook post, today.
Hairi, who is also the state exco in charge of youth, sports, entrepreneur development, cooperatives and human resources also reminded Sanusi and opposition leaders on the politics of Bangsa Johor.
"In Johor, there is a Johor way. Bangsa Johor has its own identity and politics here also has a way that does not follow other states. Don't be too obsessed with playing with perception, but celebrate this democracy with ideas and solutions.
“I also want to remind Sanusi once again, if you are in the land of Johor, do not dare use sentiments or touch on the royal institution of Johor," he said.
The Larkin assemblyman asked Sanusi not to be lulled into dreams by PN's victory in three states in the recent state elections.
"At the same time, I want to bring Sanusi back to Johor, after the state election last year and Barisan Nasional (BN) succeeded in forming the state government with a two-thirds majority of 40 seats.
"During 17 months, Johor BN has put forward various efforts and initiatives that have been and are being implemented.
"So, I ask Sanusi not to be complacent and be too proud of his party's victory in Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu. Do not bring your 'loqlaq' to Johor," he said.
