SHAH ALAM - Police will carry out a transparent and fair investigation regarding the allegations of misconduct involving its members that went viral on social media on Friday.

Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said he received a report lodged over the incident.

"Further investigation into the allegations is ongoing and I will share more details later.

"I guarantee that investigations will be carried out transparently, the important thing is that we have to seek justice for both sides and not just one side," he said.

He said this when met in the Selangor Police Merdeka Carnival and Ride in conjunction with the 2023 National Day celebration at the Shah Alam Stadium here, today.

Yesterday, a video went viral on social media related to alleged misconduct involving a cop with the rank of sergeant at a district police headquarters in Selangor

The video portrayed an individual who said that the complaint related to the misconduct has been brought to the management of the police.
