ALOR SETAR - The victory of Perikatan Nasional (PN) in the state election could be attributed to people's understanding of the direction of the parties in the coalition.

Menteri Besar Kedah Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor said because of that, PN was able to maintain its power in the three states governed by the coalition, in addition to achieving better success in the states governed by Pakatan Harapan (PH).

He said the understanding dismisses allegations of PN's victory was driven by obsession and fanaticism.

Previously, Johor Umno Youth Chief Noor Azleen Ambros claimed that the fanatical PN supporters in Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu were among reasonsin the defeat of Barisan Nasional (BN) and PH in the six states.

This was dismissed by Sanusi.

"Only superstitious people will make statements like that. He is superstitious, so much so that everyone else is wrong, he is the only one who is right. Ha, that's superstition," he said.

He reportedly said this as a panelist on the 409th series of Wacana Sinar titled: Pelan Berdamai: Realiti atau Mimpi Politik hosted by Ismail Adnan.

The programme also featured Amanah Communications Director Khalid Samad, Bersatu's Supreme Council member, Mohd Rafiq Mohd Abdullah and Pas Youth Information Chief Khairul Nadzri Helmi Azhar.
