'I will receive the report and we will do something' - Zahid
KUALA LUMPUR - Umno President Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi admits that he had been informed about the actions of a Melaka Umno State Assembly Member who allegedly attended a Perikatan Nasional (PN) meeting on Wednesday.
Zahid said that his party will take action after receiving a report on the matter.
"I will accept the report and we will do something," he said when met by the media after the Women's Solidarity Gathering with the President at the Tun Hussein Onn Hall, World Trade Center (WTC) today.
On Wednesday, the media reported that Rembia State Assembly Member Datuk Muhammad Jailani Khamis attended a PN event in Johor yesterday.
The programme is understood to mark the beginning of the PN campaign for the Simpang Jeram and Pulai by-elections that will take place on September 9.
