SHAH ALAM - Actor and director Ellie Suriaty is disappointed by the actions of an irresponsible individual creating a TikTok account using her name and image.

Ellie was further disappointed when the individual created a video that invited slander and misunderstanding on her character.

“I don’t like them (Individual involved) using my old video footage with Azri, writing I regret the divorce and wanted to get together again.

“Please don’t write absurd things. I have children, it hurts them. I have no intentions of going back to him (Azri Iskandar).

“We have our separate lives and we continued to have positive lives, don’t speak on my behalf,” she said in a live on her Instagram account on Thursday.

The 53-year-old actress said she would lodge a police report if the individual did not delete the fake TikTok account.

“I have alerted the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) and my best friend Anne Abdullah had reported the account on TikTok because I don’t personally have an account.

“Actually, after I was no longer active in politics, I was also no longer active on Facebook and I don’t have an X (formerly Twitter) account. I only have Instagram,” she explained.

Ellie asked for fans following the account to report it on TikTok and unfollow it.

“At the time there was no need for me to create a TikTok account. We will see what happens after.

“The account up now is not mine. Please unfollow it,” she said.

Ellie or her full name Ellie Suriaty Omar previously revealed it on her Instagram account urging followers not to be convinced with the existence of several fake TikTok accounts impersonating her using her image on social media.
