TAMPIN - A six month pregnant woman dies after her motorcycle crashed into a dog at Keru-Batu Belang Road, here on Thursday.

The 35-year-old victim was pronounce dead at 2.10am at Tampin Hospital.

Tampin District police chief Superintendent Anuwal Ab Wahab said the incident at 12.05am took place while the victim was riding her Modenas Dynamic Motorcycle alone.

“Early investigations found the victim was on her way from a restaurant at Tampin-Gemas Road to her home in Kampung Keru Hulu, Tampin.

“However, as she arrived at the scene, she crashed into a dog, causing her to lose control and falling at the roadside,” he said in a statement on Thursday.

He said the incident caused severe injuries on the victim and she was rushed to the Tampin Hospital for further treatment but died to injuries two hours after the incident.

Those with information are urged to come forward to aid in the investigation at the Tampin Police Headquarters (IPD) or contact Tampin IPD Traffic Police Station at 06-4412502 or the Tampin IPD operations room at 06-4431999 to aid in the investigations.

The case was being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, he said.
