ILN conference to delve deep into religion, politics, and peace
SHAH ALAM – The 10th International Islam and Liberty Conference (ILN) will be held with the mission to give a thorough understanding of religious, political, economic, peace and prosperity in Muslim majority countries.
This two day conference will be held from 5th to 6 Sept in Concorde Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, is organised by the Islam and Liberty Network Foundation with the support of the Atlas Network, the Network for a Free Society, and Amanie Advisors in collaboration with Emir Research and LEAD.
With 150 delegates, it will be highlighting Libertas, a political theory that emphasises on how individual freedom can be expressed in politics, the economy, and religion.
A keynote address will be delivered by Foreign Affairs Minister, Datuk Seri Zambry Abd Kadir.
The conference will also explore islamic conceptions of a communal life within democratic societies that provide people the ability to choose their governments, free markets that foster the growth of private businesses, and religious organisations that permit religious freedom.
This conference will feature 24 presentations from cholars and fellows from various Muslim majority countries on democracy, civil society, economic freedom, peace, development, and inclusion.
Prominent intellectuals from Malaysia will chair the panel discussions and keynote talks at the conference including Iman Research co-founder Dina Zaman, Universiti Sains Malaysia political science professor Dr.Ahmad Fauzi and Sisters in Islam executive director Rozana Isa.
