KOTA BHARU - The Kelantan state government has given assuarance in providing equal allocations to state assembly, including those from the opposition.

Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud said his administration will treat all representatives fairly, regardless of whether they are aligned with the government or the opposition.

He said the approach was taken base on the belief that the representatives were chosen by the people, and therefore, they should receive the same allocation despite their differing political affiliations.

"This is because they are elected by the people, so the allocation is equal even if the political stance is different," he told the media after attending the first Kelantan state council meeting, here, today.

Also present were Deputy Menteri Besar Datuk Dr. Mohamed Fadzli Hassan and Kelantan exco members.

In the recent State Election on August 12th, Pas, in coalition with Bersatu under the Perikatan Nasional (PN) banner, secured victory in 43 out of the 45 seats in the state assembly. The remaining two seats were won by Pakatan Harapan (Kota Lama) and Barisan Nasional (BN), respectively.

This result has given PN a strong two-thirds majority, enabling them to govern Kelantan effectively in this term.
