IPOH - The teachings of Noor Hisham Alias who introduced the concept of Allah Muhammad Muhammad Allah (AMMA) are distorted and contrary to Islamic law, says Perak Mufti.

Datuk Wan Zahidi Wan Teh said an announcement was made during the 231st State Fatwa Committee meeting on April 27.

He said after carefully observing all facts, arguments and views brought forward, the Fatwa Committee found the teaching contain elements that deviate against the teachings of Ahli Sunah Wal Jamaah on creed, Shariah and behaviour.

“The teachings interpreted the Shahadah as ‘there’s no reality but Allah’ without any real explanation and claimed that Islamic teachings were distorted in 850 AD.

“The other element of the teaching was based on the words of the Quran that it was incorrectly written on the skin and bones of animals," he said in a statement uploaded on Facebook, today.

He explained the same teachings argued that if the Quran was important, the Prophet would have been written and documented it.

Zahidi said the teachings claimed the existence of two Qurans: one within the human body, interpreted as a miniature realm and the mashaf Quran.

“This teaching states that the Prophet was not appointed as Rasul (Apostle), but he knew about Allah’s existence when his heart was purified during his childhood. He had the knowledge of Allah's existence but did not know Allah at the time.

“It had raised the question of whether the Prophet was slow as he could not read or write until the age of 40,” he said.

He stated all forms of teachings, practice, publication, distribution of such teaching materials through any medium must be blocked, stopped and banned immediately.

“Muslims must stay away from this teaching and are forbidden to adhere to and practice it,” he said.
