KULAI - Johor Housing and Local Government exco Datuk Mohd Jafni Md Shukor has denied claims that four Johor Barisan Nasional (BN) MPs have withdrawn their support from the unity government.

Mohd Jafni, who is also the Kulai Umno division chief, said there was no validity to the claims and that they were still considered rumors.

"I have not seen any official proof of this happening. It is just rumors at the moment," he said.

He said there was no reason for the MPs in question to do so as Johor’s politics were stable.

"We have 40 assemblymen with BN and we are a stable government.

"We are focused on building a better Johor, and political issues such as this are not the main issue in Johor.

"The main issue in Johor is how we want to progress the state and how to have the public benefit from the development," he added.
