Teenage boy suffers from a broken shoulder after being chased by dog
IPOH - A teenager suffered a broken shoulder after the bicycle he was riding collided with a resident's house wall while being chased by a dog in Taman Rapat Permai here yesterday.
In the incident around 11.30 in the morning, the 14-year-old boy returned home with injuries on his left chest and experienced shortness of breath.
Ipoh District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Yahaya Hassan said the incident report was received from the victim's 40-year-old father at the Kampung Rapat Police Station.
He stated that the attack forced the victim to undergo surgery for his injuries at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital (HRPB) here.
"The complainant reported that the dog was often seen in front of a house, but the occupants of that house denied ownership of the dog.
"The occupants claimed that the animal often appeared in front of their house," he said.
Yahaya said an investigation is being conducted under Section 289 of the Penal Code.
He added that a complaint has also been lodged with the Ipoh City Council (MBI) regarding the dog that has been chasing residents in the affected neighborhood.
