Flood issues, young people's economic empowerment among plans in Batu Tiga
SITI AISYAH MOHAMADSHAH ALAM - Flood problems, development projects, infrastructure upgrades and the young people's economic empowerment make up the plans for development in Batu Tiga area.
Batu Tiga assemblyman Danial Al Rashid Haron said those are part of the promise made in the state polls campaign last Aug 12, which will be worked on as soon as possible.
"As soon as the monsoon season arrives at the end of the year, residents are worried about the floods that will hit.
"So we will take an early step by implementing a flood mitigation programme together with Shah Alam City Council (MBSA)," he told Sinar today.
He shared the plan after officiating Malaysian Gayong Silat Association (PSSGM) Bengkung and Certificate Presentation at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Seksyen 19 here.
Danial said that besides the flood issue, development projects involving the community and the economy of young people are also given attention.
"Many activities involving young people can be held, especially for those who work in the gig economy, such as providing training centres to polish their skills to increase income," he said.
He added that several meetings had also been held with MBSA to resolve some problems including the garbage issue.
"This week, I had also met with the Commissioner of Buildings (COB) regarding matters arising in the apartments and also the deposit problem in Alam Prima.
"Alhamdulillah, I have a good relationship with MBSA and had asked that some issues or problems raised by residents to be scrutinised," he pointed out.
