'Father told me not to abandon prayers, behave well' - Johari's son
MUKHRIZ MAT HUSINGOMBAK - The late Pelangai assemblyman Datuk Seri Johari Harun had told his son Muhammmad Hafiz Naquiddin, 22, not to abandon prayers and always to behave well.
Hafiz, the third son of Pahang Local Government, Housing, Environment and Green Technology Exco, said that these were some of the last words his father said to him before the plane crash in Elmina, Shah Alam on Thursday.
Hafiz also recited the 'talqin' prayer after his father's burial.
"As a father, he used to tell me to not abandon the prayers, to always behave well and so on. Everyone has memories with their own father. I don't need to share them.
"For the 22 years that I got to live with my dad, there were sad and happy memories between me and him," he told media personnel at Raudhatul Sakinah Phase 2 Cemetery, Batu Caves, Selangor today.
The body arrived at the mosque at 10:18am and was safely buried at 12.16pm after the prayer.
Hafiz, who studies Arabic at Selangor International Islamic University College (Kuis), also shared that his father was a generous, affable, and warm figure.
"I am also grateful that the body's management was eased and its burial went smoothly.
"We pray that the deceased will be placed among the believers and be blessed with continuous rewards from Allah SWT," he said.
