Elmina plane crash: Selangor police chief attends meeting on management of victims' bodies

KLANG - Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan was seen entering the building of the Forensics Department of the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital (HTAR), here, today.

It is believed that he was attending a meeting related to the identification of the victims killed in the plane crash in Elmina, Section U16, Shah Alam on Thursday.

The vehicle escorting Hussein arrived at about 8.30pm.

The meeting was also attended by an expert from HTAR's Department of Chemical Pathology.

Today, the body of victim Muhamad Hafiz Muhamad Salleh, 32, was claimed by his family at around 9.30am.

The body of the deceased was taken to the Al-Rahimiah Mosque here for prayers before being taken home to be buried at the Al-Huda Mosque Cemetery, Kampung Jerong in Sungai Petani, Kedah.

It is understood that so far, there were nine remains that were still undergoing identification processes and DNA matching.

On Thursday, a total of 10 victims were confirmed dead in the crash of the private jet.
