KUALA LUMPUR - A senior officer and 14 policemen as well as two deputy public prosecutors (DPPs) were arrested earlier this morning at an entertainment outlet in Jalan Dato Sheikh Ahmad in Seremban.

They were detained in a raid carried out by the Bukit Aman Integrity and Standard Compliance Department (JIPS) at about 2.30am.

Bukit Aman JIPS director Datuk Seri Azri Ahmad when contacted confirmed that the department had carried out the operation.

"I confirm the inspection carried out by JIPS Bukit Aman with the assistance of the Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department from the Negeri Sembilan Contingent Police Headquarters (IPK).

"The state carried out inspections on all visitors to the entertainment outlet, including conducting urine tests.

"It is understood that only one suspect was tested negative for drugs," he said.

According to the police report that went viral on social media, the officer and 14 personnel were attached to various departments, including the Nilai and Tampin District Police Headquarters (IPD) Narcotics Criminal Investigation Division as well as the Seremban IPD Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Department and IPK.

The two deputy public prosecutors arrested served in Shah Alam and Negeri Sembilan respectively.

Meanwhile, Negeri Sembilan police chief Datuk Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussof also confirmed the raid.

However, he said he could not comment on the case in detail at the moment.

"I can only confirm that there are raids and inspections because the official report is not yet ready," he told Sinar Harian.
