SHAH ALAM - Pas president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang claims Perikatan Nasional (PN) has control of the core politics in the nation compared to the fragile core of the federal government.

He said it was based on the high ratio of support from the Muslims and Bumiputera obtained by the coalition.

“The achievement in the state elections showed the situation is far more advanced as PN successfully obtained 146 state seats with Pas (105 seats), Bersatu (40 seats) and Parti Gerakan Malaysia (Gerakan) with one seat.

“This is compared to the Pakatan Harapan (PH) and BN coalition, which gained 99 seats (DAP-46, PKR-26, Umno-19, PAN-8).

“Pas has successfully governed three states along with Perlis by a large majority. This showed the large core support from Muslims and Bumiputera compared to PH and BN who gained support from extreme non-Muslims,” he said through the ‘Minda Presiden Pas’ post on Facebook on Saturday.

He added many statements were released that banned any efforts to change the PH government but whether it was permitted was questionable.

“They themselves placed the efforts to topple the government through questionable means that troubled the public, causing a clash between safety personnel and innocents to achieve the democratic branded dream that was questionable.

“The public must be alert, after receiving a devastating blow in the recent elections, their support in other states is now decreasing.

“They are power-hungry until they are willing to defend themselves without having any self-control causing them to do anything. They were like those drowning who would cling to those helping them to die together or grab onto a rock thinking it was a lifebuoy,” he claimed.

The Marang MP reminded the PN leadership to be careful towards the opponents and accept the success with full gratitude towards Allah SWT without faltering in the state governed in and in an area where they became representatives.

“Continue working and moving forward calmly. Don’t panic with the provocation from opponents who were heated due to their support dropping despite being in power in the central government.

“Increase the patience towards not being trapped in statements and provocation that could lead to chaos,” he said.
