Two foreigners beaten for sharing pornographic videos - Police

JOHOR BAHRU - Police confirm a viral video showing two foreign men getting beaten with a wooden object after they sent a pornographic video to a woman.
Seri Alam District Police Chief Superintendent Mohd Sohaimi Isaac said that the incident involved two foreigners aged 31 and 40 who worked as security guards for a private company.
He said the incident occurred on Nov 6, last year but the video went viral on social media recently.
"The victims are suspected of sending a pornographic video to a local woman, prompting two 26- and 27-year-old foreigners, the victims' coworkers, to beat them for the indecent act.
"However, the victims did not make a police report and had returned home, while two suspects also escaped after becoming aware of the viral incident," he added in a statement on Saturday.
Previously, a 17-minute video showed two foreigners being slapped and beaten with a wooden object by two other individuals dressed in security guard uniforms.
The two victims were seen in the video pleading not to be beaten.
Meanwhile, Sohaimi said that the police have also asked the public not to speculate on the nature of the viral incident that occurred last year, as this could lead to misunderstandings in the community.
