KOTA KINABALU - Sabah Umno chief, Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin wants Sabah Umno to be careful and only cooperate with parties that respect the agreement signed.

He said that the previous coalition process with other parties had taught Sabah Umno to be mature in establishing cooperation with other parties in the state.

"We will work with political parties that respect each other's agreements and benefit Umno and Sabah.

"We will also see friends who have loyalty, sincerity in carrying out their responsibilities as partners to fight for the benefit of the people of Sabah. We don't want any more internal crises that disrupt efforts to develop Sabah," he said in a statement on Friday.

Bung Moktar who is also BN chairman for the state said that whoever Sabah Umno partners with will be a factor of strength and victory for the BN candidate in the next election.

He said, from the very beginning Sabah Umno has made it clear that it is too early to declare participation with any coalition of political parties in Sabah.

"What we are doing today is strengthening all the party machinery.

We are collecting information that will be used in the election campaign later," he said.

Meanwhile, commenting on the pressure on Umno President Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi to resign, Bung Moktar who is also a member of the Umno Supreme Council described it as unfair to the leader.
