Elmina crash: Investigations to be carried out by AAIB, US aviation experts

SHAH ALAM - The investigation of the plane crash in Elmina, Section U16 here, will be carried out by the Air Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) and aviation experts from the United States (US) on Monday.

Shah Alam District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said further investigation will be carried out by the authorities involved at the location of the incident.

"Police members will be stationed at the crash site, and security control will be carried out 24 hours a day.

"The wreckage of the crashed plane will be collected in the areas surrounding the crash site," he told Sinar Harian on Friday.

He said following the opening of the road, the public, especially road users, is prohibited from stopping their vehicles arbitrarily to take pictures at the location.

"The road has been opened; road users are advised not to stop their vehicles to disrupt traffic.

"Monitoring activities will be carried out by the police; if any wrongdoings are detected, action will be taken against any road user involved," he said.

On Thursday, a total of 10 victims were confirmed dead in the crash of the private plane.
