‘Shahrul once shared his wife’s phone number for emergencies’
MUKHRIZ MAT HUSINKLANG – The late Shahrul Kamal Roslan, 42, who was the pilot of the plane that crashed in Bandar Elmina, Shah Alam, once shared his wife’s phone number to his friend, Captain Halim, last week in case of an emergency.
Shahrul Kamal’s brother-in-law, Syed Tahir Syed Mohammad, 39, said that Halim was initially surprised because the deceased had never acted like this before.
“At first, Halim was surprised why (Shahrul) gave him his wife’s phone number, maybe he (the deceased) could feel it but did not say anything.
“Alhamdulillah yesterday (Thursday) when he found out (the incident), Halim was the first person to call and tell her that the plane had crashed,” he told media personnel at the grounds of the Forensic Department, Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (HTAR) on Friday.
On Thursday, a plane reportedly crashed in an incident at Elmina Central Park, Section U16, here.
It was understood that the plane took off from Langkawi to Subang.
The police previously confirmed that 10 individuals died in the incident when the light aircraft crashed at about 2.40pm on Thursday.
