Elmina plane crash - Witness thought it was a gas explosion

SHAH ALAM - A clinic cleaner Kavitha Arumugam, 49 said she heard some sort of explosion nearby her house and had thought it was a gas explosion.
"I was at my kitchen, when I heard about it, I thought it was a gas explosion but when I saw the news, I saw a plane had crashed.
"I even saw so much smoke billowing nearby, but thought it was by factory or something," she said.
She added that once she saw the news, she went to the scene as it was nearby her house, but everything was covered in smoke.
Earlier today, a private aircraft crashed at Elmina here about 2.45pm, the aircraft was travelling from the Langkawi International Airport to Subang Airport
The victims includes eight people who were on board the aircraft, as well as the driver of a car and a motorcyclist who were hit by the crashing plane.
Checks by Sinar Daily on scene, saw police officers and the authorities conducting forensic works.
