Dashcam footages of crashed plane go viral
AHMAD ISMADI ISMAILSHAH ALAM - The explosion and fire from a plane crash almost hit a car in Elmina near the Guthrie Highway exit on Thursday.
The accident involving a Beechcraft 390 (Premier 1) plane was recorded by the dashboard camera of several vehicles at the scene.
The 19-second and 20-second videos recorded at 2.42pm displayed flames and smoke billowing up as the plane crashed.
One video showed a point of view (pov) from the back of a vehicle while another showed a pov from the front of a vehicle
It was reported that the drivers pulled over to see what had happened.
Earlier, Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan confirmed that a plane that departed from Langkawi to Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (LTSAAS) obtained permission to land at 2.40pm.
However, he said that the plane allegedly crashed two minutes before it was scheduled to land.
Hussein was reported as saying that they are at least 10 victims who were killed due to the incident
