Prominent figure among victims of Elmina plane crash, confirms police
SHAH ALAM - In a tragic turn of events, a notable personality has been identified among the individuals affected by the plane crash that occurred in Elmina, Shah Alam, according to police.
As investigations continue, it has been reported that the catastrophic incident has claimed the lives of ten individuals.
Among the victims are the ten occupants who were aboard the ill-fated light aircraft.
Additionally, the fatality count includes the driver of a car as well as a motorcyclist, both of whom were unfortunate enough to be struck by the plummeting plane.
While the identities of the victims are yet to be officially disclosed, the revelation of a prominent figure being involved adds another layer of sorrow to the already heart-wrenching incident.
The notable figure onboard is has been reported to be a state assemblyman from the Pahang state assembly.
Meanwhile, Selangor cops say the tragic plane crash claimed ten lives, including two cabin crew members.
Selangor's police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said 8 individuals were on the aircraft while one individual was riding a motorcycle and another was driving a car.
Initially specualtion were rife that two people were in the aircraft at the time of the crash.
The crashed aircraft was a private jet en route from Langkawi to Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang, was scheduled to land at 2.50pm.
However, just two minutes before the expected landing and after receiving landing clearance from the control tower, communication was lost.
Hussein said all the victims on the aircraft were male, with two of them serving as cabin crew members.
Family members and relatives of the victims have gathered at the scene to mourn the tragic loss of their loved ones.
The background of the victims are currently being tracked and sent to Hospital Klang for further investigation.
