Bukit Jelutong to get new police station in 2025 – Selangor CPO
SHAH ALAM – The government is building a new police station in Bukit Jelutong, here, in order to serve the residents and people of the surrounding area better.
Selangor Police Chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said that the police station is currently under construction and expected to be completed by 2025.
“In the long term, we want to restrategise police stations and have new stations in developing areas such as Puncak Alam and we will have a new one in Bukit Jelutong.
“For Bukit Jelutong, we have already started (building) on five hectares land and it will take about two years to finish.
“We will have a nice, modern police station to serve the people of Bukit Jelutong and surrounding areas,” he told Sinar Daily during an interview recently.
It was learnt that the police station was built in the same vicinity as the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department headquarters at Persiaran Tebar Layar, here.
Hussein said that the police aimed to have user-friendly and conducive stations so that the people would have a good impression in terms of service and comfortability.
“When people come to the police stations, they will be spending about thirty minutes to an hour to lodge a report so the chair must be comfortable especially for the elderly and we are going to improve to have user-friendly environment, aligning with the Inspector-General of Police’s focus to empower service delivery,” he added.
