SHAH ALAM - Heavy rain caused a flash flood in Section 13, Shah Alam this afternoon.

Netizens took to social media to post pictures and videos and even comment on the rising waters in the area, including notifying on cars nearly submerged by the floodwaters.

However, it is believed that water levels appear to be lower than in past cases of flooding, but it is best to avoid taking the roads that have been affected as the submerged road surface is longer visible.

A comment on Twitter by @CondorHero6 said "Shah Alam always floods whenever it rains!" 16 years after Selangor becomes a state of flooding? "Pakatan Harapan needs to work!" he expressed.

Besides, another comment by @shazmitito questioned whether Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) has not settled the drainage system yet.

"I thought this area had a catchment area," he said.

Besides, Astro Radio Traffic reported that flash floods have caused a 45-minute crawl on the Subang airport road from Citta Mall to Petaling Jaya.
