SHAH ALAM - Former Umno leader Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob has predicted that the party will soon disappear, following its severe defeat in the recent state elections.

In a 25-second video that went viral today, the former Pahang Menteri Besar said that Umno's performance is declining rapidly, implying that there is little chance for it to make a comeback.

"Umno is on the verge of folding up," he said.

In the video, Adnan is seen showing support for the Perikatan Nasional (PN) Chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin at the Kuala Lumpur High Court.

However, Adnan's statement surprised Muhyiddin and prompted him to question the matter.

"How is that happening (Umno folding up)?

"It's a long story," Adnan replied briefly.

Prior to that, High Court Judge, Datuk Muhammad Jamil Hussin, made the decision to acquit and discharge Muhyiddin on four charges of using his position for bribery, totaling RM232.5 million for Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu).
