SHAH ALAM - Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) has no qualms to reconcile with the Unity Government as long as space is provided for constructive criticism aimed at mutual betterment.

Bersatu Srikandi vice-chief Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin stated, however, that such reconciliation might lead to the opposition losing their voice to provide warnings and other perspectives.

She opined that if that were to happen, they would not agree for the Kedah Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor, to embark on a new chapter with the Unity Government.

"I believe there is no issue if it's for the sake of the people, the economy, and the country's development, regardless of the agreement; in fact, we welcome it because it is indeed our priority.

"We are just concerned that when we make a truce, we might have to comply with what is dictated by the Unity Government even though all parties know they themselves are in an uncertain situation with an unstable and confused policy," she told Sinar

Furthermore, according to Mas Ermieyati, there might be individuals questioning Sanusi's credibility in giving warnings and criticism due to this reconciliation.

"Hence, the condition for peace is not by merely accepting but that we can still reprimand and critique the government " she explained.
