With the advent of digital technology, the media industry has expanded beyond the traditional forms of media in which the primary focus was on newspapers, magazines, and television.

Now social media, it presents an exciting digital age as it allows humans to be more connected than ever before.

Sinar Daily is calling potential young talents from secondary schools to come to experience the thrill and rush of working in the media!

This coming Sept 8 to 10, Sinar Karangkraf will be organising an educational festival called “Karnival Pendidikan Sinar Bestari” at the Sinar Karangkraf headquarters in Shah Alam.

Among the many exciting activities that await visitors, the Sinar Daily Press Club is not one to be missed.

When students sign up to become a member of the Sinar Daily Press Club, they can choose to “work” for the day and select an option of becoming a reporter, broadcast journalist, social media content creator, photographer, or videographer.

Once they select their chosen profession for the day, they will be given tasks. To make things more exciting, those who choose to become reporters will have their bylines published on the Sinar Daily website, along with a mugshot!

As for the broadcast journalists, photographers, social media content creators, and videographers, their work will be shortlisted for an online competition where they will compete for the most likes and shares.

However, if students choose not to work for the day, they can still sign up to become a member where they will receive email updates on the latest news, or they can sign up to work with Sinar Daily’s Special Projects team for three months. Think of it as a paid apprenticeship!
