SHAH ALAM - Machang MP, Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal has called for all accusations made under the Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA) towards former prime minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to be dropped.

This is following the nullification of all Muhyiddin's power abuse cases this morning.

Earlier today, the Kuala Lumpur High Court ruled that four charges related to abuse of power under Section 23 of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act (MACC Act) are defective, failed to disclose any wrongdoing, and constitute an abuse of the court process.

"Since the primary offenses have been annulled, the three charges under AMLA cannot stand independently and must also be invalidated," he said in a posting on his official Facebook page.

Wan has also slammed the unity government for allegedly working behind the scenes to taint the reputation of the former prime minister and Perikatan Nasional (PN).

"I hope the supporters of Anwar Ibrahim, Pakatan Harapan (PH), Zahid Hamidi, DAP, understand that your campaigns have been based on falsehoods and oppression.

"There is an invisible force that has been urging the MACC and Attorney General to undertake this dubious action to tarnish the reputation of Tan Sri Muhyiddin, Bersatu, and PN," he said.

Wan also accused the unity government of winning three states in the recent state election through lies and deceits made towards the opposition.

He stated that the government had allegedly frozen Bersatu's accounts, hindered the opposition members from speaking to mainstream media, and threaten their officers to conceal the truth.
