Sultan of Selangor returns after medical procedure abroad

SHAH ALAM - The Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj has returned home safely and in good health after undergoing a medical procedure abroad.

Welcoming the return of the Selangor Sultan, Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari expressed gratitude that His Majesty's medical affairs went smoothly and successfully and that His Majesty appeared cheerful.

"We and the people constantly prayed for His Majesty to be granted a long life with good health and overall well-being.

"May His Majesty remain calm and continue to reign on the throne of governance with greatness, sovereignty, and prosperity," he said in a Facebook post today.

Earlier, Amirudin welcomed the arrival of Sultan Sharafuddin along withTengku Permaisuri Norashikin, theTengku Permaisuri of Selangor, home.

On July 28, it was reported that the Selangor Sultan had been in London to undergo treatment and surgery for a prostate-related illness (Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate).

His Majesty hoped to recover and resume his duties as the ruler and head of the Islamic religion in Selangor like before.
