King attends Sandhurst Cadets' alumni afternoon luncheon
KUALA LUMPUR - Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah attended an afternoon luncheon of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS) Alamein Company, 1st Platoon alumni (1978 to 1979) in the United Kingdom yesterday.
According to a post on the Istana Negara Facebook account today, the luncheon was held at Victory Services Club, London.
"Al-Sultan Abdullah is an RMAS alumni who underwent military training from 1978 to 1979 and received his commission from the late Queen Elizabeth II in 1980,” Istana Negara said.
The Agong and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah are now in London on a special visit till Aug 15 (Tuesday).
Bernama previously reported that Al-Sultan Abdullah and Tunku Azizah had also attended their son, Tengku Ahmad Ismail Mu'adzam Shah’s passing out parade, the RMAS Sovereign’s Parade, in the UK on Friday.
