SHAH ALAM - The Royal Malaysian Customs Department (JKDM) is investigating the viral claims of an officer sleeping on duty at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), Sepang recently.

Customs director-general Datuk Zazuli Johan said he had taken note of the issue that had gone viral on the AduanRakyat Twitter dated on Aug 10.

"JKDM headquarters through the Integrity Division will explain the actions that would be taken on the matter.

"The department views this matter seriously and would like to state that any misconducts by officers or personnel will subject to appropriate action," he said in a statement on Saturday.
