AMPANG - Despite having to tie the knot in the morning, Abdul Qayyim Roslan, 26, still went to the polling station at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Seru Keramat to carry out his responsibility as a voter.
Abdul said that although his wedding ceremony is clearly important, voting is also a big responsibility as a Malaysian.
"I am from Bukit Antarabangsa and will get married this morning in Selayang at 9.30am.
"I came to vote first to fulfill my responsibility," he said.
Qayyim said that in the evening, his partner will also vote after the ceremony at Sekolah Kebangsaan Selayang.
According to him, even though all of his ceremonies are held simultaneously, he and his partner will still fulfill their responsibility as voters.
