Amirudin and wife cast their votes in Selayang

GOMBAK - Caretaker Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari fulfilled his civic duty today by casting his vote at SJK (C) Selayang Baru this morning

Accompanied by his wife, Datin Seri Masdiana Muhamad, the couple proudly displayed their inked fingers at 8:38 am.

They both spent some time greeting voters at the polling centre and speaking to the media.

“I would like to urge all the citizens of Selangor to come out as it seems that there is a growing number of people participating. We need to take the opportunity to come out in large numbers to vote.

“We are concerned that unfavorable weather conditions like rain may occur,” Amirudin said during a quick press conference at the polling centre.

Amiruddin said it was important to seize the opportunity to fulfill the duty to vote and provide the chance to decide the state administration for the next five years.

"Today, let's hope and pray as we’ve being making efforts,campaigning, and today is the day that determines the state's future.

“We hope to secure the majority here," he added.
