88-year-old Malaysian never misses opportunity to vote

KEPALA BATAS - The atmosphere in Penaga is bright as Asa Hashim, an 88-year-old Malaysian, never misses the opportunity to cast her vote in every state election.

With her wheelchair, Asa is filled with joy as she casts her vote at SK Permatang Janggus, Penaga, accompanied by her son, Azmi Md Noor, 55.

"The elderly in Malaysia should fulfill our duty by voting for a better Malaysia," Asa told Sinar Daily.

Her son, Azmi, further elaborated that they completed their duty as early as 8.22 am today.

"Since yesterday, my mother has been expressing her excitement to vote, and she was ready as early as 6:30 am," Azmi shared.

He also stressed that regardless of which coalition leads Penang, he hopes they will work towards a better future for the state.
