PETALING JAYA - Voters were in high spirits at the Sekolah Kebangsaan Seksyen 9 polling centre today morning, as they waited to cast their ballots in the state elections.

The atmosphere at the polling centre was hopeful, with voters commenting on the number of people who had already come to vote.

Muhammad Ikmal Hisham Osman, 27, said that he was excited to vote and that he was surprised to see that there were many voters at the polling centre early in the morning.

"I'm very excited to vote today. Usually, the lines here are very long, but there aren't many voters early today," he said.

Kimberly Teo Xin Yee, 27, shared the same sentiments.

"I'm very hopeful for a good change, but the turnout seems sparser than before with early voters," she said.

Alex, 50, said that he thought the state elections were crucial and that he was glad to see that there was a good turnout at the polling centre.

"I think this is a crucial election for us and the turnout so far is good with more people slowly coming in. My whole family is here to vote today, so we are here in high spirits," he said.
