SHAH ALAM - PN Selangor Chairman Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali has expressed his confidence that Perikatan Nasional (PN) will establish a government in Selangor in Saturday's state elections based on the support garnered throughout the campaigning period.

He said early voting statistics strengthened this belief, which showed a record-high turnout of 96 per cent, as nearly all voters fulfilled their responsibilities in Selangor.

"I now announce that Selangor is now under the control of PN," he declared during the Grand Finale Selangor Bangkit Gemilang event at Taman Melawati last night.

Also present were PN Chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Pas Deputy President Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man.

Azmin said if early voting can achieve such a high turnout, he hopes the people of Selangor will come out in full force to vote and secure victory for PN.

"I hope the voter turnout can reach up to 95 per cent, and tomorrow night, the Election Commission will announce PN's victory in Selangor," he said.

He also appealed to Melawati and Hulu Kelang voters to support him in representing the people in their respective areas.

"I am aware I lost in the previous general election; there may have been a reason, but that is not the end.
