PN did not want to cooperate to form government - Zambry
GEORGETOWN - BN Secretary-General Datuk Seri Zambry Abd Kadir has revealed that Perikatan Nasional (PN) did not want to cooperate with other political parties to form a government after the 15th general election (GE15).
Zambry said that this was despite the fact that Yang di-Pertuan Agong had called on all political parties to sit together to form a government. He said that PH, DAP, and other parties from Sabah and Sarawak were all willing to cooperate, but PN refused.
Zambry said that he was one of the negotiators who tried to get PN to cooperate, but they were not interested.
"PN only wanted to form a government with their own allies, and they did not care about the stability of the country," he said during his speech at Ceramah Mega Perpaduan at Jalan Karpal Singh here today.
Zambry said that the coalition of PH and Barisan Nasional (BN) is the stable coalition that can lead the country.
He said that they are willing to work with all parties for the sake of Malaysia.
"PH and BN are the coalition that wants stability and wants to live in peace and prosperity. That's why we sit together, for stability.
He said that Penang is a beautiful state with a diverse population, and it needs a government that can unite everyone.
He said that a victory for the PH-BN coalition will also allow the state and federal governments to work together for the benefit of the people.
