Public holiday on Monday in Selangor if PH-BN win polls - Amirudin
SHAH ALAM - The Selangor State Government has officially announced its plan to declare declare the forthcoming Monday as a unique public holiday should the joint collaboration between Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN) emerge victorious in the ongoing State Elections scheduled tomorrow.
In an address delivered via his official Facebook page today, Caretaker Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari expressed articulated the government's stance, expressing its favorable outlook on a continued PH-BN coalition governance over Selangor in the ensuing five terms.
"With a sense of great responsibility, I am pleased to make the following announcement.
"In the event of the Unity Coalition, encompassing the cooperative efforts of PH and BN, secures victory in the Selangor State Elections scheduled for Aug 12, and subsequently establishes itself as the governing body of Selangor, we are firmly committed to designate a distinctive public holiday for the state on Aug 14, 2023," said Amirudin in his special statement.
The message was conveyed via a broadcast on his official Facebook page today.
This announcement, he said, reflects the State government's dedication in fostering unity and commemorating meaningful milestones in Selangor.
