Hadi warns against those who pretend to uphold Islam
SHAH ALAM - Pas president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang has warned against those who pretend to uphold Islam, saying that they will surely fall.
In a Facebook post on Thursday, Hadi said that these groups use the Arabic language for the wrong reasons, perform several acts, and build mosques as a symbol of worship to tempt and confuse Muslims.
He said that these groups are not true Muslims, and that they are only interested in power and money.
“Allah SWT said in His words that the attributes and characteristics of Islamic groups that continue the struggle to implement the perfect Islam, not secular Islam that was to separate politics from Islam.
“Secondly, Jihad to uphold Islam, not to stand out and thirdly, to the powers of amar ma’ruf and nahi munkar (maintain order in the society).
“Upholding Islam could not be done by acting, boasting and pretending,” he said on his Facebook today.
He urged Muslims to be wary of these groups and to support those who are truly committed to upholding Islam.
"The golden age of Islam was a time when Muslims were united and strong.
"This unity was based on the principles of justice and fairness, and that it allowed Muslims to achieve great things.
He warned that Muslims will lose their power if they abandon the struggle to uphold Islam.
He also urged Muslims to continue to fight for justice and fairness, and to build a better world for themselves and their children.
