SHAH ALAM - The component parties of Perikatan Nasional (PN) are still together and they will not let the latest viral video of Gerakan president Datuk Dominic Lau Hoe Chai being asked to leave a Pas ceramah hinder them to move forward.

"It was just a misunderstanding. Dominic was never chased out, he was just being stopped by someone.

"In fact, Pas secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan has issued an apology to the Gerakan president and all is well now," said PN Bandar Baru Klang candidate Tan Seng Huat.

He said the recording went viral and sparked rumours saying that Dominic received poor treatment and was chased out from the event.

"Our president was supposed to attend the event with the Pas vice president but when Dominic was trying to get on stage, someone tried to stop him. Maybe this was due to a misunderstanding," Tan said in a communication with Sinar Daily.

He said most of Gerakan members only knew of the incident from the viral video that has been circulating on the internet.

"Dominic was never chased out, somebody just stopped him," Tan reiterated.

The Bandar Baru Klang candidate added that previously there was a misunderstanding with Pas due to Dominic's nomination, and this incident may just be a similar situation.

"Can you see how many people stopped our president from moving forward? It was only one person," he emphasized.
